I use braces to walk because my joints are unstable and tend to slide out of place. Of all my joints, my knees need the extra support the most, since they carry all of my weight.
For long distances or shopping trips, I use a wheelchair. I am prone to dizzy spells - due to my POTS - and walk with a limp, so the wheelchair helps me get around more safely and with less pain.
Living with chronic fatigue is like living with an almost-depleted battery that never charges past half-full.
I spend the majority of my time in my bed, surrounded by piles of pillows. But I travel to thousands of worlds through my pursuits of creative photography, writing, and reading.
And I adore my life. I love my writing, find joy in photography, and have a purpose through Christ. My joy comes from a source deeper than my circumstances in life, and I have made it a goal to live my life to the fullest no matter the obstacles.
